Fayetteville, NC – Peace College could not muster much offense in the first half of their conference match up versus Methodist University and found themselves on the losing end of a 84-67 decision Thursday night in Fayetteville. Peace scored thirty first half points, but the Monarchs were able to outscore the Pacers by eleven in the first stanza to send Methodist on to the conference victory.

Pacers post players Brittany Lynn and Emily Deal both had a solid game down inside. Lynn posted her second straight double digit game with fourteen points, while Deal chipped in thirteen from inside the paint. Another post player, Lauren Seeger recorded her first double-double of the season scoring ten points while dominating the boards with twelve rebounds. Guard Amanda Cross was one of the four Peace players to score in double digits by putting down twelve points of her own. Methodist was led by Courtney Bissette who led all scorers with nineteen points, but was one of five Monarchs who were able to eclipse the ten-point mark in the victory.

Peace falls to 5-8 overall (0-4 USA South), while Methodist returned to the .500 mark at 6-6 overall (2-2 USA South) on the season. The Pacers return to Raleigh for their annual rivalry match up with Meredith College on Saturday. Tip off is scheduled for 2:00 PM and fans are encouraged to come early in order to find a spot in what is expected to be a standing room only crowd.
