Peace Soccer Drops USA South Contest to Averett
Missed opportunities cost Pacers in 4-0 defeat

Raleigh, NC- Peace College had just as many shots on goal as the visiting Averett Cougars on Monday, but could not cash in. Peace recorded ten shots on the visiting goal keeper, paced by Harlonda Smith (seven shots on goal), but could not sneak any by Gretchen Sheperty as they fell 4-0 to Averett University in USA South soccer action.

Peace held the competition close as the visitors held only a 1-0 advantage at the break, but Averett was able to convert in the second half and put three go ahead scores on the board. Pacer goal keeper Abigail McCourt recorded six saves in the defeat. Peace falls to 2-4 (0-2 USA South) on the young season while Averett is 5-1, including a perfect 2-0 in the USA South Conference standings. Peace will be back in action on Saturday September 23rd when they host Old Dominion Athletic Conference member Emory and Henry College. Game time is slated for 3:00 PM.
