Raleigh, NC – Come out to the Peace College women’s basketball game Saturday, January 13th against Christopher Newport University. All area youth are invited to attend its upcoming scheduled Take A Kid to the Game day. Kids will have an opportunity to experience the college game-day atmosphere as Peace hosts NCAA Basketball’s 11th annual Take A Kid to the Game® (TAKG) day celebration. Youth of all ages are invited to watch the Peace Pacers take on the Lady Captains of Christopher Newport at the Hermann Gym. Admission for this game if free of charge.

“We are pleased to extend the invitation to the community as we invite adults to bring children to experience a collegiate athletic event,” said Kelly Johnson, Athletic Director at Peace College “It is our hope that there will be a record turn out as more and more children are able to take advantage of this truly memorable experience and worth-while program. Peace is excited about the intense basketball action that you will have a chance to be apart of!”

Peace College is hosting one of more than 700 games that will be played across the nation this season as part of the Take A Kid to the Game program. This project is a grass roots initiative that attracts the nation’s youth and encourages adults to take kids to area college basketball games.
There will be prizes, pom-poms, wrist bands, face painting, and a friendly game of knock-out during half time for the kids. So come out and support your Pacers and enjoy a great game of basketball and a fun experience for all to remember.

NCAA Basketball® is a national sponsor of the Take A Kid to the Game program. To learn about other NCAA Basketball initiatives, please visit www.ncaa.org/bkbmarketingresource.org for more information.
