- Peace College fell to USA Conference leader Christopher
Newport University in three games on Tuesday night on
the campus of the Captains. Peace, who falls to 12-17
overall (1-11 USA South), made a push in games one and
three, but was unable to take down the defending USA
South Conference Champions, falling 18-30, 11-30, 29-31.
The Pacers were led on offense by
Desiree Dickens who recorded six kills on the evening.
Nicole Corn added five kills, while chipping in on fifteen
digs for the match. Setter Erin Pike was able to produce
eleven assists, while Jordan Morris helped on defense
by adding nine digs.
Peace will be back in action on Saturday
when they travel to Rocky Mount, NC to compete in the
last regular season contests of the year. The Pacers
will battle Shenandoah University at 5:00 PM, then suit
up versus North Carolina Wesleyan College at 7:30 PM.
Both matches will rank in the USA South standings heading
into the Conference Tournament. The Quarter-Finals begin
on Tuesday October 31st. This weekend will determine
where each team will play next week in first round action.
