Staunton,
VA – The Peace College volleyball team went 1-2
at the Mary Baldwin College Invitational this weekend
in Staunton, VA. Peace was defeated by Roanoke College
19-30, 22-30, 17-30 in the first match of the tournament
on Friday. Peace then defeated Eastern Mennonite University
30-27, 23-30, 20-30, 30-17, 15-11 on Saturday morning.
Later on in the afternoon, the Pacers were defeated
by Old Dominion Athletic Conference powerhouse Bridgewater
College 23-30, 16-30, 27-30.
Sophomore, Nicole Corn, had an outstanding weekend for
the Pacers collecting 30 kills and 28 digs on the weekend.
Senior, Jordan Morris added 56 digs in just 3 matches.
The Pacers, 11-11 overall, will resume USA South Conference
play on Tuesday night, taking on #1 ranked Averett University
at home. The match is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
