NC- The Peace College volleyball team opened up USA
South Conference play tonight with a 3-0 loss to Christopher
Newport University.
Juniors Jordan Morris and Shamica Phillips led the Pacers
defensive effort as Morris picked up 16 digs and Phillips
4 blocks on the night. Sophomore Nicole Corn also contributed
with 12 digs. Junior Carrie Conner connected on 7 kills
to lead all hitters for Peace.
Sophomore, Liz Bush paced the Captains with 12 kills
and 7 blocks. Senior Jenna Williams added 15 digs in
the win.The Captains advance to 4-6 overall, 1-0 in
the USA South while the Pacers drop to 6-3, 1-0 in the
conference.
The Pacers will continue USA South Conference action
on Saturday, taking on Ferrum College at 4:30 and Methodist
College at 7:00 in Fayetteville, NC on the campus of
Methodist College.
