– The Peace College volleyball team dropped three
games to Greensboro College on Wednesday evening in
USA South Conference action. Greensboro, who is currently
first in the conference standings, found a little more
offense than Peace to win in straight games (30-24,
30-16, 30-20).
The Pacers were led by Shamica Phillips, Nicole Corn,
and Annie Lyons. Phillips recorded eight kills on the
evening, while Corn and Lyons chipped in six a piece
respectively. Setters Erin Pike and Bridget Corbitt
combined for twenty-three set assists in the three games
to pace the Peace offensive attack. On the defensive
side it was Jordan Morris who registered fifteen digs,
while Lyons and Corn added another eight digs a piece.
Peace moved to 6-6 (0-4 USA South), while Greensboro
increased their lead in the USA South with a record
of 14-1 (4-0 USA South). Peace will be back in action
on September 24th when they travel to Ferrum, VA for
a USA South quad match.
