Peace Volleyball Wins Three at Roanoke College Invitational

Salem, VA – The Peace College volleyball team went 3-1 at the Roanoke College Invitational this weekend in Salem, VA. Peace defeated Mary Baldwin College 30-23, 26-30, 33-31, 30-21 in the first match of the tournament on Friday. Peace then defeated Sweet Briar College 30-28, 30-16, 30-25 to end the night. On Saturday morning, host Roanoke College snapped a Peace 3 game win streak defeating the Pacers 20-30, 17-30, 22-30. Peace redeemed themselves in their final match of the tournament defeating Randolph Macon Women’s College 32-30, 30-21, 30-19.

Sophomore, Nicole Corn, had an outstanding weekend for the Pacers collecting 38 kills and 27 digs on the weekend and was named to the All-Tournament Team. Senior, Jordan Morris added 53 digs in 4 matches.

The Pacers, 5-2 overall, will travel to Murfreesboro, NC on Monday to take on the Chowan University Braves scheduled to start at 6:00 PM.
