Peace Runners Finish Fifth at Salem Invitational
Simms and Inman complete course in under 26:00 minutes

Salem, VA- The Peace College cross country team traveled to Salem, Virginia to compete in the second annual Salem College Invitational cross country meet on Saturday and found some success and endurance. Two Pacer runners, Ashley Simms and Molly Inman, finished the tough course with times under twenty-six minutes. Simms placed twenty-third with a time of 24:37, while Inman came in twenty-sixth place recording a time of 25:15.

The Pacers finished in front of NCAA division II scholarship member Chowan College and USA South foe North Carolina Wesleyan in the team competition with 144 total points. Laura Lutz, Heather Vanderwoude, and Brittany Adcock all finished in the top fifty runners in the tournament to round out the field. Peace will be back in action on Saturday September 30th when the runners travel to Greensboro, North Carolina to compete in the Greensboro Cross Country Invitational hosted by Greensboro College. The start time for that event will be posted as the tournament nears.
