Raleigh, NC--The
Pacers join the Women's Basketball Coaches Association's
(WBCA) initiative to raise breast cancer awareness across
college campuses and communities nationwide. Peace College
Athletics is teaming up with Student Development to
raise campus awareness in support of THINK
PINK Week.
In an effort to increase PINK
this week, dining services will serve PINK
desserts. The bookstore will offer a 10% discount on
PINK items.
THINK PINK
tees ($15) and PINK
Honor Cards ($1) will be on sale in Belk Hall during
lunch through Wednesday and at Saturday's basketball
game . All proceeds will be donated to the Kay Yow WBCA
Fund. Wednesday night in conjunction with the Student
Life sponsored valentine decorating party, participants
will watch Pretty In Pink.
Breast Cancer information materials will be available
at Saturday's game.
The week culminates with the THINK
PINK basketball game Saturday, February
9. The Pacers take on the Captains of Christopher Newport
University in USA South conference action. Tip-off at
2:00pm. The Pacers will wear PINK
warm-up shirts and PINK
shoelaces in support of the week's theme. Wear your
PINK and
green and come support the Pacers. See you on the sidelines!
