Raleigh, NC--The
Pacers endured a tough loss to the Captains of Christopher
Newport who finished the game 78.6% from 3-point land
(85-58). Junior Christy Freeman led Peace with 15 points
and 2 assists. Sophomore teammate LeAnne Horne added
12 points and 3 rebounds. Sophomore forward Brenna
Mickey led the Pacers with 4 rebounds adding 6 points
as well.
Peace shot well in the first half
at 56.0% with 14-25 shooting. The second period proved
difficult for the Pacers who made only 7 of 35 and finished
the game at 35.0%. The team continues to get solid minutes
from first-year's Margaret Minton and Kayla Mitchell
who shot 6-8 from the free throw line.
Peace continues the home stetch Sunday,
February 10 hosting Shenandoah University.
