Raleigh, NC--The
Pacer Basketball squad lost a close rematch to the Avenging
Angels of Meredith College this afternoon (54-50). Peace
entered the locker room at the half up by only 4 points
after giving up 2 free throws in the final seconds of
the first session. Meredith tied the game for the seventh
time at 18:50 early in the second period. Peace never
recovered the lead.
Junior forward Brittany Lynn (Raleigh,
NC/N Raleigh Christian) led the Pacers with 14 points
and 9 rebounds. Her counterpart junior forward Lauren
Seeger (Greensboro, NC/Page) added 12 points and 6 rebounds
for Peace. Seeger was perfect from the line shooting
4-4. Sophomore defender Candra Hill (Clinton, NC/Clinton)
scored 2 buckets from the field including 1 from behind
the arc. Hill was 4-5 from the stripe to give her 9
points in the loss.
Nicole Hall led for the Avenging Angels
with 20 points, 8 assists, and 9 rebounds. Brittany
Cornelius added 16 points and 8 rebounds for Meredith.
The Pacers host Greensboro College
Monday, February 18 for the final home game of the regular
season. The game tips-off at 7:00pm. See you on the
