Raleigh, NC--The
Pacers lost a tough game to Otterbein College tonight
at the Hermann Student Center (66-42). Peace finished
the first period down by just 6 points but scored only
2 field-goals in the second half. The Cardinals came
out strong in the second to go up quickly by 14. The
Pacers never recovered shooting only 23% on the game.
Junior forward Lauren Seeger (Greensboro,
NC/Page) played a tough game against the strong bigs
of Otterbein. Seeger grabbed a team-high 6 rebounds
and scored 7 points in the loss. Sophomore guard LeAnne
Horne (Monroe, NC/Parkwood) led the Pacers with 12 points
and 3 assists. Teammate junior Christy Freeman (Lumberton,
NC/Lumberton) added 11 scoring 2 from behind the arc.
Peace will recover from this first
loss of the season as they prepare to hit the road Friday.
During the final weeks of the semester the team travels
first to Macon, GA to host Wesleyan College this Saturday
for a 2:00pm tip-off. The Pacers remain in North Carolina
next week with a visit to Salem College in Winston-Salem
Wednesday, December 5. Shortly after final exams, Peace
jumps to Newport News Apprentice School for the final
game of 2007. Tip-off begins at 2:00pm Saturday, December
15.
