The Pacers battled a 2-2 tie against the Lady Bears of Salem College. Both teams played evenly in the first half to close with a score of 0-0. Salem opened in the second half with 2 quick goals. But the Pacers were quick to fire back. Veteran Harlonda Smith led the Pacer comeback scoring 11 minutes into the half assisted by Ashley Banks. Smith added her second goal on a breakaway. The Pacer midfield, anchored by sophomores Haley Bright and Randal McLean, set the tone for the offense while junior Brittany Ostlund led the Pacer defense. Smith and Megan Franklin led the attack up front. Freshman Sherry Revels came out strong tallying 15 saves in her college debut in the goal.
