Virginia--Peace College traveled to Winchester, VA for their second conference match of the season and lost 7-1 to the Hornets of Shenandoah University (2-5-0, 1-1-0). In Saturday's match-up, the Pacers' leading scorer sophomore Harlonda Smith earned a goal just before the half to put her team on the board. Smith recorded 4 shots for the game leading a solid offensive effort for her team with the help of junior Salma Taylor in the midfield. The Hornets scored 2 goals in the early 10 minutes on junior goalie Brittany Ostlund who filled in for the day in this position. Ostlund stepped up strong for her squad in the absence of the Pacers regular goalie. Ostlund had 4 saves for the Pacers. Shenandoah scored 2 more goals in the first 12 minutes of the second period to finish the day's scoring.

The Pacers moved to Newport News, VA Sunday for a match with conference counterpart Christopher Newport University losing 7-0. Sunday's game rounded out a tough road trip for the Pacer squad. Once again Smith pressured her opponents and led a strong effort at the Captains' net recording a team-high 3 shots for the squad. First-year goalie Sherry Revels was back in the Pacer net scooping up 11 saves for her team. First-year sweeper Katelynn Spencer battled in the backfield for the Pacers to assist the keeper.
