Cary, NC--The
Pacers fell to NC Wesleyan today 2-0. The match was
fairly even throught the 90 minutes--shots for the Pacers
25, the Bishops 30. Both goalies did a solid job in
the net for their respective squads. First-year Pacer
Sherry Revels recorded 18 saves for her team.
Sophomore offensive leader Harlonda
Smith put 11 towards the net. Another standout for the
Pacer offense is freshman Megan Franklin with 4 shots
tonight. Franklin's aggressive pursuit of the ball consistenly
puts her in a position to score.
Junior Salma Taylor and Mary Caitlin
Smith helped the Pacers defensively. These two along
with sweeper Katelynn Spencer challenged the Bishops
in the backfield.
Peace hosts non-conference Huntingdon
College from the Great South Athletic Conference Saturday,
October 6 at WRAL Soccer Center. The Hawks enter Saturday
afternoon's game 2-4-1, 1-3-1. Game begins at 4:00pm.
