Raleigh, NC--Peace dominated their match tonight versus USA South Conference member Mary Baldwin College but could not complete with a win. The match ended in a 1-1 tie in double overtime. The Pacers outshot the Fighting Squirrels 47 to 27. But Elizabeth Dattilio's goal from a penalty kick early in the 2nd period forced a tie that never changed.

Mary Baldwin's goalie Nicole Croman had her hands full with the Pacers tenacious offense. Sophomore forward Harlond Smith recorded 21 of the Pacers shots. Unfortunately, Smith could not find the net tonight. Sophomore Haley Bright found the goal at 34:21 in the first half. Sophomore Randal McLean assisted on Bright's goal.

Latecomer to the squad first-year Maggie Reaves showed her number on the field tonight. Reaves' hustle, persistence, and determination offered the Pacers a new spirit on the field. Other standout includes sophomore Jennifer Gilbert. Gilbert recorded only 1 shot in the tie but showed solid control and balance in her efforts for the Pacers.

Peace looks ahead to Wednesday afternoon's match. Rival Meredith College hosts the Pacers at SAS Soccer Complex at 4:00pm on the 24th. Let's fill the stands with Pacer fans! See you on the sidelines.
