Greensboro, NC--The Pacers dropped today's match to the Quakers of Guilford College, the number one pick in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference coaches poll (8-1). Senior Lucy Mauney (Southern Shores, NC/Manteo) defeated Liz Killion 6-3, 6-2 to give the Pacers their first game of the season.

Number one seed Lauren Marion (Greensboro, NC/Southeast Guilford) forced her first game to a tie breaker eventually losing 7-6. Marion and partner Katie Lamb (Kitty Hawk, NC/Manteo) lost 8-6 in a tough doubles match.

Peace hosts Chowan College Friday, March 14 at the Ragland Tennis Courts beginning at 3:30pm. Conference action begins next Tuesday with Averett University. See you on the sidelines!
