Murfreesboro, NC--The Pacers traveled to Chowan University for a 2-day, 5-team tournament. Peace lost their first match to N.C. Wesleyan 0-3 (13-30, 21-30, 27-30). Senior Shamica Phillips from Wilson, NC led the team in kills with 8 for the match. Newcomer Bre Hinnant of Manteo, NC led the squad with 11 digs. Junior Paige Atkins of Lillington recorded a team-high 5 blocks.

The Pacers closed the evening with host Chowan. This tight 3-game loss places Peace in a tough 0-2 going into day-two (20-30, 17-30, 22-30). Senior Bridget Corbitt from Moyock, NC recorded a team-high 10 assists and 9 digs for the evening. Junior Nicole Corn from Kinston, NC had 9 kills and 7 digs in the loss.

Peace will open Saturday morning with Salem College. The Pacers defeated the Lady Bears in Raleigh on the 1st of the month. Following Peace will play St. Paul's College of Lawrenceville, VA. The top 3 teams move to a 3-team play-off format.
