Danville, VA--The Pacers lost a conference match to Averett University in Danville, VA tonight 3-0 (30-17, 23-30, 24-30). First-year middle Kerra Gore of Beaufort, NC led Peace with 13 kills and 3 blocks. Senior setter Bridget Corbitt of Moyock, NC recorded a team-high 17 assists. Corbitt also added 2 digs. Her counterpart senior Erin Pike of Kinston added 13 assists and 10 digs.

Defensively, senior outside Nicole Corn of Kinston, NC led all with 12 digs and added 3 kills from the frontline. Libero Stephanie Sports of Macedonia, SC recorded 11 digs for the Pacer defense.

The team is back at home Saturday hosting a conference tri-match with Shenandoah University and NC Wesleyan. Play begins at Noon for the Pacers. The visiting teams compete at 2:30 followed by the Pacers and the Bishops at 5:00pm.

The Peace College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will collect canned foods at the final 3 home matches including Saturday's tri-match. Thank you for your contributions. Collected items will be donated to a local charity next month.
