Members
of the Pacer Club-Peace College’s athletic booster
club-provide support and encouragement for the Pacer’s
intercollegiate athletic programs. Founded in 2004 by
Kelly Johnson, the Pacer Club has contributed to our
athletic programs as well as to facility development.
Athletic training and sports information equipment,
the annual athletic banquet, and recruit weekends are
just some of the items covered through Pacer Club support.
Peace College’s Athletic program has grown from
three intercollegiate teams to six in the past six years.
Basketball, Cross Country, Soccer, Softball, Tennis
and Volleyball teams now compete at the NCAA Division
III level. Through the outstanding leadership and recruiting
efforts of a very dedicated and energetic Coaching Staff,
the programs had an outstanding year in 2003-04. Our
first year of competition in conference play produced
seven 1st or 2nd team All-Conference athletes, two conference
Rookie of the Year athletes, one All-Tournament athlete
and twenty-two Academic All-Conference athletes. We
want to continue fielding competitive programs, as well
as “Set the Pace” for Women’s Athletics
in the USA-South and with your enthusiasm and financial
support we can.
With our new mascot in place and entering our third
year in the USA-South Athletic Conference we are contacting
Peace College alumnae, parents, fans and other friends
of the College and asking them to join our new Peace
College Pacer Club, the “team behind the team.”
All contributions received will directly support the
athletic program in areas such as facilities improvements,
special equipment needs, travel and other designated
needs. Your support today will generate the championship
of tomorrow. Thank you for your support and consideration.
