William Peace University To Offer Men’s Sports Starting Fall 2012
RALEIGH, N.C. – William Peace University (http://www.peace.edu), a private four-year university located in downtown Raleigh, has announced the offering of men’s basketball, cross country and golf beginning in fall 2012. A member of the USA South Athletic Conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III, the university will begin with three male sports teams and will integrate men’s soccer and baseball in subsequent years.

Simonson named Men's Cross Country coach
Raleigh, N.C. - William Peace University Director of Athletics Kelly Johnson announced that Michelle Simonson will serve as the university's first head men's cross country coach. A 2006 graduate, Simonson currently serves as the university's head women's cross country coach, a position she will continue to hold while leading the men's cross country team. Simonson will be responsible for enhancing overall awareness of the university's collegiate cross country program, as well as leading the recruitment process of prospective student-athletes for the 2012-2013 men's and women's cross country teams.
