Softball Competes Strong at Ferrum Invitational

Salem, VA -- Peace played three games to complete the Ferrum Invitational Softball Tournament today moving to 14-6 overall. The Pacers lost first to USA South member Methodist University 7-4. The Monarchs rank 22nd nationally in the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Coaches Poll.

The Pacers defeated the Royals of Eastern Mennonite University 4-1. The Royals of the strong Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) entered the tournament 11-2.

Peace closed out the weekend losing to a strong Roanoke College team 6-3. The Pacers held the Maroons at 3-3 till late in the game but could not finish. The Maroons moved to 17-3 overall this season.

The young Pacer squad is competing at the highest level of competition in school history and making a name for the program and college in the Southeast.
