Stansbury Named to USA South First Team; Weathington All-Sportsmanship

Fayetteville, NC—Sophomore Pacer softball player Ashley Stansbury was named to the USA South’s first team all-conference selections in today’s announcement.  Her duplicate roles as pitcher and designated hitter made her a candidate for a selection as a utility player.  

Stansbury finished the regular season with a conference batting average of .379 earning 22 hits in 58 at bats.  She recorded 5 doubles, 6 homeruns, and 20 RBI in conference action.  In the circle during conference play, Stansbury finished with an ERA of 1.95, including three shutouts among USA South teams, six on the season.  

First-year catcher Morgan Weathington earned the Peace College spot on the USA South’s new all-sportsmanship team for her sport.
