Pacer Softball Players Earn USA South Honors

Fayetteville, NC—The USA South Athletic Conference office announced end-of season honors today, and five Pacers earned recognition.  Peace finished the regular season with a fourth-place league finish.  

Sophomore third baseman Courtney Long (Nakina, NC) and first-year second baseman Amanda Beach (Garner, NC) earned placement on the second team All-Conference for their production in the infield.  Junior pitcher Ashley Stansbury (Bahama, NC) earned one of two pitching spots on the second team as well.  

Sophomore Lindsey Moore (Clayton, NC) earned one of three outfielder positions on the third team.  Sophomore short stop and catcher Morgan Weathington (Raleigh, NC) earned the league’s All-Sportsmanship honor for Peace for the second year.

The Pacer softball team faces number five Methodist University in the opening round of USA South tournament action Friday, April 17, at Springwood Park in Burlington, NC.  For complete information, visit the official tournament page HERE.  See you on the sidelines!
