Softball's Weekend Schedule Changes

Raleigh, NC -- The wet weather in eastern Virigina this week forced Virginia Wesleyan College to cancel their annual Beach Blast softball tournament. Teams scheduled to participate in the tournament will now compete at various neutral sites in area.

Peace College will play a doubleheader at Lynchburg College Friday afternoon versus the Hornets. The first game is slated for 1:00 pm. The Pacers will play Wilkes College twice on Saturday at Christopher Newport and once again Sunday at Virginia Wesleyan as previously scheduled. The team opens Sunday morning at VWC with Baruch College out of New York.

Join Peace back at Wachovia Athletic Park Wednesday, March 10, as the Pacers host Swarthmore College in a 2:00 pm doubleheader. Be on the lookout for the PC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) change bandits. The bandits will stop by Pacer events through March 31 to rob willing participants. SAAC plans to donate all money collected during the USA South's Pennies for a Purpose change drive to the Duke Children's Hospital. See you on the sidelines!
