#2 Greensboro Takes #7 Peace 2-0

Burlington, NC -- The 2nd-seeded Greensboro College defeated the 7th-seeded Peace College Pacers  2-0 in game six of the USA South Conference Tournament.  The Pride's Heather Nellis drilled a line drive to left field scoring the only two runs needed for the win.

The team's went scoreless for the first five and a half innings.  Ingrid Joyce led off in the bottom of the sixth with a single, and Cyndel Henson moved her to second with a bunt single.  Joyce overan the bag and was out on the play.  Rebecca Pink advanced to first and Brittany Parsons loaded the bases on a walk.  Nellis notched her two-RBI double to secure what would be the winning runs.

The Pacers made a run for GC with two hits but left both runners on base, scoreless.

Greensboro will face #3 Methodist in the Noon game-12 Saturday.  The MU Monarchs defeated  #6 Shenandoah 2-1 in game-4 to advance.
