Murfreesboro, NC - Peace College shot the ball well, but NCAA division II member Chowan University shot the ball better. The visiting Pacers could not find an answer for stopping a very powerful offensive explosion by the Chowan Hawks Saturday afternoon. The Pacers fell behind early and were forced to come out of their initial game plan by shooting lower percentage three point shots to try to keep up with the very accurate Hawks. Chowan finished the game shooting fifty percent from the field, while Peace shot thirty five percent as a team, with that stat being grossly skewed due to the large amount of three pointers attempted. The result was a 90-51 loss for the Pacers, putting them at 4-4 overall on the season.

Peace was led on the day by Emily Deal. Deal scored sixteen from her post position while pulling down six rebounds on the afternoon. The Pacers also got some offense from Christy Freeman and Brittany Lynn. Freeman chipped in eleven points, while Lynn scored twelve, while adding four rebounds and two steals respectively.

Peace will take time off to be with their families and loved ones over the Christmas and New Years holidays, but will be back in action early in 2007 when Dominican University visits Raleigh on January 6th. Tip off is at 2:00 PM.
