Captains defeat the Pacers on the Road

Newport News, VA--The Pacers lost a tough match-up today in Newport News against the Captains of Christopher Newport News (87-55). Christopher Newport along with Greensboro College leads the USA South early in conference action 4-0.

Pacer sophomore forward Emily Deal (Millers Creek, NC/West Wilkes) lead her team with 10 points, shooting 50% from the floor. In her 16 minutes on the floor Deal also added 4 rebounds. Junior cohort Lauren Seeger (Greensboro, NC/Page) led with 10 rebounds from the inside. Seeger added 6 points in the loss.

Peace travels north to Winchester, VA to meet the Hornets of Shenandoah University for Sunday afternoon's game. The Hornets stand 1-2 in the conference to face Peace for a 2:00pm tip-off. The Pacers return to the Hermann Student Center for a game at home against rival Meredith College. See you on the sidelines!
