Pacers Earn Non-League Win

Raleigh, NC - The Peace College (2-1) basketball team picked up a 68-59 non-league win tonight over visiting Piedmont Baptist College (4-2).  The Conquerors turned a 24-point Pacer lead into just seven during the last four minutes of regulation, but Peace held for the win.

With the Pacers shooting just 27% in the second period, PC's first-year forward Angel Fuller gave her team more offensive opportunities with 9 second half rebounds for a game-high 14.  Fuller added eight points and two blocks.  Senior LeAnne Horne led Peace with 14 points and four assists.  Point guard Megan Bridges recorded nine points, two steals, and three assists in the win.

Piedmont's Kirby Hill led all with 17 points, including 6 from 3-point range.  Sisters Erica and Emily Buffaloe turned in a combined 23 points and 10 steals, adding three assists apiece.

Peace returns to the Hermann Student Center after Thanksgiving to host Ferrum College in the team's conference opener Tuesday, December 1.  Tip-off is slated for 7:00 pm.  See you on the sidelines!
