USA South Basketball Honors Announced
Fayetteville, NC -- Peace College's senior basketball players LeAnne Horne and Brenna Mickey earned end-of-season honors as announced today from the USA South Conference office.
Horne, who leads Peace College with 209 career steals, earned placement on the league's honorable mention all-conference team for the second consecutive year. She became a member of the 1000-point club this winter scoring 1014 total points during her four-year career with the Pacers. Horne was named Peace's most valuable player as a junior.
Mickey was named to the league's women's basketball all-sportsmanship team for the second consecutive season. She tallied 118 rebounds this season, the third highest for Peace this season. Mickey averaged 6.5 points per game and grabbed 17 steals on the season. Mickey earned USA South academic all-conference recognition as a sophomore and junior. This honor requires a 3.0 GPA or better during both semesters of a given academic year and is announced each June.
