Hoops Schedule Released
Raleigh, N.C. -- Head Coach Kelly Johnson and the Peace College Pacers will compete in 25 games during the 2010-2011 regular season schedule as released this summer.
Peace hosts Guilford College on November 17 in the season opener. The teams alternate sites annually in a single-game series.
This year's eleventh annual Jackie Ammons Memorial Tournament features nearby Salem College and Maine Maritime Academy in the 6:00 pm opener Friday, November 19. Peace will face Hartwick College of Oneonta, New York, in the nightcap. Day-two pairs the losing teams in a 1:00 pm consolation game Saturday. The winners follow in the Championship game slated to tipoff at 3:00 pm.
Randolph College and Hollins University travel to Peace this fall for non-league contests on November 28 and December 5, respectively. The Pacers complete non-conference action with the traditional home-away series versus Salem College in early February.
Peace opens league action before fall semester exams at Ferrum November 30 and at Christopher Newport December 4. The Pacers host Averett on January 10 in the first of nine USA South conference home games.
Cross-town rival Meredith College hosts the first of two always-anticipated matchups on Sunday afternoon, January 16, in Weatherspoon gymnasium. Peace hosts the February 15 game in the Hermann Student Center.
