Smith and Bright Earn Soccer Awards

Fayetteville, NC--Sophomore forward Harlonda Smith of Huntersville, NC (Vance High) earned a deserving spot on the All-Conference Second-Team for the USA South. Smith led the Pacers with 9 goals and 3 assists on the season. Smith clearly challenged her opponents with 65 shots on goal, 117 overall. Her quickness, intensity, and tenacity guaranteed opportunities at the net.

Sophomore teammate Hailey Bright of Snow Hill, NC (North Lenoir) led her team from the mid-field. Bright earned a spot on this year's first-ever USA South All-Sportsmanship Team for soccer. Bright scored 5 of the 18 Pacer goals and recorded 3 assists for her team.

Two of a team full of underclass teammates, Smith, Bright and the rest of the Pacer squad look to next season for a terrific chance to improve on a 3-win season, overall and a single conference win.
