Prep: Played soccer as a sophomore and junior at South Lenoir. Earned first team all-conference honors both seasons.

Named Kinston Free Press Basketball Player of the Year as a senior. Named hte basketball team's Most Valuable Player her last season under Coach Thurman Pate at South Lenoir. Played AAU basketball for Coach Dawn Phillips and the East Carolina Storm.
