USA South Preseason Soccer Poll Announced

Fayetteville, NC-The USA South Athletic Conference office announced the 2009 preseason women's soccer poll today.  Cross-town rival Meredith College, the 2008 league champs, were picked by the coaches to win a consecutive title this fall.  The Pacers were selected to tie with Mary Baldwin for ninth place.

This year's men's and women's tournament semifinal and championship matches will be held at the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Virginia, as part of a two-year contract with the Southern Virginia Recreation Facilities Authority.  Opening rounds of the tournament will be held on the campus of the higher seeded teams.

Peace opens the 2009 season Tuesday, September 1, at Salem College beginning at 4:00 pm.  The first home match will be held at WakeMed Soccer Park at 4:00 pm Saturday, September 19, versus Randolph College.  See you on the sidelines!
