Keith Jenkins joined the Pacer Athletics staff July 2010 as coach of the women’s soccer program.

Prior to joining the Peace staff, Jenkins coached high school soccer for 16 years including the Clayton High School boy’s junior varsity and varsity soccer teams in some capacity over the last 13. During his tenure with the varsity program, Clayton won five conference championships, four conference tournament championships, and advanced to the NCHSAA 3A or 4A playoffs the last nine years. The 2004 squad reached a number one ranking among 3A members. In 2006 his team ranked as high as third at the 4A state level. During his tenure at Clayton, he oversaw the development of the junior varsity program that also won five conference championships. Coach Jenkins was honored in 2006 by the North Carolina Soccer Coaches Association as the inaugural assistant coach of the year recognizing the top assistant high school coach in the state.  Jenkins will serve as an assistant coach for the NC Youth Soccer Association’s ODP program in 2011-2012.

Jenkins is the current director of coaching education for the Johnston United Soccer Association in Clayton, North Carolina. His role includes developing the coaching education program for JUSA as well as overseeing all travel coaches in the challenge and classic programs. He coached various boys and girls teams in the club including recreation, challenge and classic teams. Prior to joining JUSA, Jenkins coached with the Triangle Futbol Club. Coach Jenkins holds several national coaching licenses including the United States Soccer Federation’s (USSF) National “C” license, the USSF National “Youth” license, the National Soccer Coaches Association of America’s (NSCAA) Premier Diploma, the NSCAA High School Coaches Diploma and the NSCAA g\Goalkeeping I diploma as well as several NSCAA special topics diplomas.

Professionally, Jenkins is a 18-year veteran in municipal parks and recreation. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina University and a master’s degree from N.C. State University in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management with emphasis in Sports Management. He has held various positions with the Town of Davidson, Town of Benson, City of Raleigh and currently the Town of Cary where he serves as the athletic facility supervisor at WakeMed Soccer Park. In Jenkins’ position at WakeMed Soccer Park, he was a co-tournament director for the ACC men’s and women’s soccer tournaments as well as the men’s and women’s NCAA college cups since 2004. Additionally, Coach Jenkins worked with the USSF to host both training and matches for the U.S. men’s and women’s national soccer teams and with the NCHSAA to host both boys and girls state championships at WakeMed Soccer Park.  

Jenkins currently resides in Clayton with his two daughters MacKenzie and Victoria. In his spare time away from work and coaching, he enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with his daughters.
