League Leader Tops Pacers

Raleigh, NC -- The visiting Monarchs of Methodist University defeated Peace in a quick 9-0 match on the Ragland Courts today.  MU currently sits atop the USA South standings undefeated through six contests and improved to 14-2 overall.  Peace dropped to 0-5, 0-3 USAS.

Playing No. 2 singles, first-year Elizabeth Burns gave her opponent the toughtest challenge of the day.  Burns took one game from Katherine Meindl in set one and two more in the second.

With partner Brittany Lynn at No. 2 doubles, Burns took the only other game from the Monarchs in today's loss.

Join Head Coach Kathy Jacobs and her team Saturday, April 3, as Peace celebrates seniors Haley Bright and Brittany Lynn on Senior Day.  Both players joined the tennis team for the first time this spring.  Bright lettered four years with the soccer team and Lynn lettered two in soccer and four in basketball for the Pacers.

The team hosts Shenandoah University Friday, April 2, at the Ragland Tennis Courts.  Doubles play is slated to begin at 3:30 pm.  See you on the sidelines!
