Cougars Defeat Peace

Danville, VA -- Averett University took the Pacers 7-2 in today's USA South action.  One of the Cougars suffered an injury and was forced to retire the No. 2 doubles match, as well as No. 6 singles.

Senior Pacer Brittany Lynn managed a competitive 6-4, 6-3 loss at No. 3 singles, up one spot from her usual.  At No. 1 Kristen Starnes matched up with Averett's three-time league rookie of the week Emilia Vuorela and posted a 6-0, 6-0 loss.

Doubles partners Whitney McMillan and Casey Hardin stole three games from their opponents at the No. 3 spot.  McMillan took one game per set in her match at No. 5 singles. 

Peace travels across town Wednesday to face Meredith College for their fifth match in six days.  The match is slated to begin at 3:30 pm.  See you on the sidelines!
