Two Pacers Earn USA South Nods
Fayetteville, NC -- As announced today from the USA South Athletic Conference office, two Pacer tennis players earned all-conference nods. Sophmore Kristen Starnes earned placement on the all-conference honorable mention team, and first-year Elizabeth Burns was named to the women's tennis all-sportsmanship team.
Starnes moved to the No. 1 spot in both singles and doubles this season. She turned in an overall season record of 2-9. Both wins were against league opponents forced to a deciding set for victory. With doubles partner Haley Bright, Starnes picked up a lone win versus Ferrum.
Burns joined the team this season at No. 2 singles. She
notched one win at this challenging
position. With No. 2 doubles partner Brittany Lynn,
Burns tallied two wins on the season.
