Gore Named USA South Rookie of the Week

Raleigh, NC--Freshman middle hitter Kerra Gore of Beaufort, NC was named USA South's Volleyball Rookie of the Week. Gore helped lead the Pacers to a 2-4 record last week after returning to play from a shoulder injury. She recorded 51 kills, 26 blocks, and 5 digs during her 5-match week. Against St Paul's College in game 4 of pool play Sunday in Murfreesboro, NC, Gore recorded 16 kills and 5 blocks. Gore posted her first collegiate double-double in the 2-3 semi-final loss to NC Wesleyan with 21 kills and 10 blocks.
