Pacers Down Versus The Pride

Raleigh, NC--The Pacers lost to The Pride of Greensboro College Wednesday evening 3-0 (30-19, 30-20, 30-25). Senior middle Shamica Phillips led the Pacers with 5 kills, 2 aces and 1 block. Junior outside Nicole Corn played solid adding 4 kills and 8 digs. Libero Stephanie Sports added 13 digs for the match.

The Pacers showed promise during the night with 42 digs versus the aggressive, offensive efforts of Greensboro's freshman Michelle Gabson who recorded 14 kills for The Pride. Greensboro moves to 8-5, 4-0 for the season.

The young Pacer squad, now 3-9, 0-4, will take the court again on Saturday as host to conference members Mary Baldwin College and Methodist University. Pacers start the day with Mary Baldwin at Noon.
