Greensboro Hands Peace a Loss

Greensboro, NC--The Pride of Greensboro College handed Peace a tough loss in Greensboro tonight (3-0). The Pride currently sits in 3rd place in USA South Conference standings with only two weeks remaining in the regular season.

The Pacer offense fell short of Greensboro's tonight by 26 kills and 28 assists. Junior Nicole Corn (Kinston, NC) led Peace with 14 defensive digs and 5 kills. First-year Liz Evanoff (Kitty Hawk, NC), still struggling from an ankle injury earlier in the season, recorded a team-high 7 kills for Peace. Senior setter Erin Pike (Kinston, NC) led the team with 13 assists in the loss.

Peace travels Saturday to Ferrum College in Virginia for a USA South Quad-Match. The Pacers begin at 11:00am with Ferrum followed by Christopher Newport University. The team returns to their home court at the Hermann Student Center next Tuesday evening hosting Meredith College. Match begins at 7:00pm. See you on the sidelines!
