Volleyball Falls to Top Ranked Christopher Newport and Ferrum

Ferrum, VA--The Pacers traveled to Ferrum College for a tough USA South Quad-Match and lost in 3 to Ferrum and top ranked Christopher Newport University. Peace recorded 31 kills against the Panthers of Ferrum. First-year outside hitter Kelly Woodard led the team with 6 in the loss. Senior setter Erin Pike recorded 16 assists for a team-high in the match. Junior libero Stephanie Sports led with 8 digs and 2 assists.

The Captains of Christopher Newport University proved a tough challenge for Peace. Sports and junior outside Nicole Corn provided the only defense for the Pacers with 13 and 12 digs, respectively. The Pacers struggled to produce an offense recording only 8 kills in the match.

Peace moves into an exciting home stretch beginning with Meredith College on Tuesday evening. Game 1 begins at 7:00pm. Thursday night the Pacers honor their seniors before hosting Guilford College. Match begins at 6:30pm at the Hermann Student Center. See you on the sidelines!
