Peace College promotes Daniels and Simonson to new positions
Peace College Director of Athletics Kelly Johnson today announced the promotion of Kevin Daniels to Assistant Director of Athletics and Michelle Simonson to Senior Woman Administrator. Both Daniels and Simonson will retain their previous responsibilities. Daniels doubles as the school’s Volleyball coach while Simonson leads the Cross Country team.

Bishops End Volleyball Run
Rocky Mount, N.C. - The #6 seeded Peace Pacers (14-17) volleyball team turned in a disappointing 3-0 loss to #3 seeded N.C. Wesleyan (23-10) in tonight's quarterfinal round of the USA South Conference tournament with scores of 25-16, 25-14, 25-4.

Pacers Split; Place Sixth in League
Fayetteville, N.C. - The Peace College (13-16, 8-10 USAS) volleyball team completed the regular season today with a 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-12) win over Mary Baldwin (1-30, 1-17 USAS) before falling 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-23) to host Methodist (19-11, 10-8 USAS).

Pacers Dominate Two and Three to Win
Raleigh, N.C. - The Peace Pacers (13-15, 7-9 USAS) volleyball team evened the 2010 series with rival Meredith College (14-15, 7-9 USAS) with tonight's 3-2 victory. Peace recovered from a 25-20 first set loss to dominate the next two 25-18, 25-14. MC took the fourth 25-22 before Peace sealed the sweet win 15-4.

Raleigh, N.C. - The Peace College (11-15, 6-9 USAS) volleyball team played well in today's 3-0 loss from #5 Christopher Newport University (28-2, 16-0 USAS), but struggled in a 3-0 sweep of Ferrum (0-27, 0-15 USAS) in today's league quad.

Raleigh, N.C. - The Peace Pacers volleyball squad played a tough three-set match versus USA South foe Greensboro College losing 25-21, 27-25, 25-23. After losing the first set, the Pacers had a shot at the second tying the score at 24 before GC captured the win.

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Peace Pacers (10-13) volleyball squad topped the Salem College Spirits (8-13) 3-1 in tonight's final non-league match of the season. Hitting a season best .261 on the night, Peace recovered from a falter in set two to win the match.

Cougars Win; Split Series
Raleigh, N.C. - The Averett University Cougars (18-8, 8-4 USAS) took tonight's USA South pairing 3-0 with the Peace Pacers (10-11, 5-6 USAS) volleyball team. After struggling in the first two sets losing 25-21 and 25-11, Peace gained momentum in the third to win 25-14. But AU sealed the victory with a 25-18 fourth set finish.

Pacers Split in Non-League Tri
Demorest, Ga. - The Peace Pacers volleyball squad closed out the weekend in Georgia with a split in non-conference action. Peace lost 3-1 to the Colonels of Centre College before defeating the host Piedmont College Lions 3-2.

Volleyball Sweeps Spelman
Atlanta, Ga. - The Pacer (9-9) volleyball team picked up a 3-0 sweep at Spelman College (2-13) in tonight's non-conference pairing with scores 25-12, 25-11, 25-20. Olivia Griffin earned five service aces within two service runs, including eleven straight in set two, to lead her team to victory.

Raleigh, N.C. - The Pacer (8-9) volleyball squad suffered a disappointing three-set loss to the Quakers of Guilford College (9-8) in tonight's non-league match at the Hermann Center gym. Peace opened strong with a 6-0 lead but would not put another run together the rest of the way.

Staunton, Va. - The Peace Pacers (6-6, 4-2 USAS) volleyball squad swept the league competition at today's USA South tri-match at Mary Baldwin (0-15, 0-7 USAS). Peace battled for a 3-2 victory over the Methodist Monarchs (7-8, 3-5 USAS) and completed the day with a 3-0 sweep over host MBC.

Peace Volleyball Earns First Win
Danville, Va. - The Peace Pacers volleyball squad earned their first win tonight defeating USA South foe Averett University 3-1 on the road. First-year outside hitter Taylor Johnson earned 13 kills (.400) to lead PC to victory. This marks the first win versus the Cougars since before joining the league in 2003.
