Newport News, Va. – After sweeping two games Saturday, the Peace Pacers turned around and played another tri-match Sunday. This time the Pacers split, giving them three weekend wins.
Peace (13-17) went from one extreme to the other on Sunday. In the first game it defeated the winless Ferrum Panthers (0-26), 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-22). In the nightcap, the Pacers faced the eighth-ranked Christopher Newport Captains (27-4) and lost, 3-0 (18-25, 13-25, 13-25).
The Pacers return to action Wednesday night when they host crosstown rival Meredith at 7:00 PM at the Hermann Student Center. Peace concludes the regular season by hosting a tri-match Saturday beginning at noon. First up is Mary Baldwin and the day concludes with a tilt versus Methodist.
