Pacers roll in Hot 'Lanta
Atlanta, Ga. – The William Peace Pacers captured their third straight win in volleyball with a convincing three-set with over the host Spelman Jaguars in a non-conference game Friday night.
Coming off a three-set win Wednesday night against Greensboro, Peace again came up with a strong game featuring many key performances. Brooke Norris led the way with 24 assists, 4 aces, 3 kills and 3 digs. She received plenty of help from Lauren Naugle (10 kills, 7 digs), Crystal Alston (15 digs, 2 aces) and Connor Davis (4 aces, 2 kills, 4 digs).
Davis closed out the first set with back-to-back aces, giving the Pacers a 25-15 win.
Naugle put the finishing touch on the second set, as she delivered the kill after an assist from Norris as Peace emerged with a 25-19 victory.
In the final set, the Pacers jumped out to a 13-2 lead and coasted to a 25-9 win.
Next up for Peace is a tri-match Saturday in Demorest, Ga. as it squares off against conference foes Piedmont and Maryville starting at noon.
