John Lysik joined the volleyball program at Peace in the fall of 2010. John also continues his volleyball coaching career locally as Lead Trainer and Team Coach at Club Red Volleyball, where he has been coaching since 2008. He has been coaching in the Carolina Region since 2004 with many successful teams at Piedmont Volleyball Club and with the region’s High Performance (HP) program. He played basketball, baseball, and golf in college and coached youth basketball before getting involved in volleyball.

John has a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from UCONN, and a master’s degree in Management from RPI. He retired from engineering and program management after 20 years in military flight systems, telecommunications, and later optical communications.

John and his wife Lisa have two children - Gary, who is a US Marine, and Brittany, who plays volleyball at Western Carolina University.
