Pacer Cross Country Earns Second Among DIII Schools

Winston-Salem, NC-The Pacer cross country squad traveled Saturday to Salem College for the annual 5K invitational.  Peace finished second among NCAA Division III schools and sixth among all collegiate women's teams. 

Senior Kim Zullo (Greenville, NC) led the Pacers with a time of 22:20.7, good for first among DIII runners, fourth overall.  Guadalupe Rostro (Angier, NC) earned the next score for Peace finishing at 20 overall, 5 among DIII runners.

Allison Gilmore (Raleigh, NC) and Bethany Vance (Portland, ME) finished third and fourth for the Pacers to help move the team past Greensboro College.  Newcomers Kathryn Gilbert (Hertford, NC) and Nicole Sorrell (Cary, NC) completed the race at just over 35:00 each.

Peace runs next locally in the 2009 Reebok Wolfpack Invitational Friday at the WakeMed Soccer Park's world class course beginning at 4:30 pm.  See you on the sidelines!
