Cross Country Opens 2010 Season Wednesday
Raleigh, N.C. - The Peace College cross country team opens the 2010 season Wednesday, September 1, running alongside the Avenging Angels in Raleigh, N.C. The dual meet is slated to begin at 4:30 pm at Meredith College.
The Pacers arrived early to campus to begin preseason training with three new members on the slate. Head Coach Jerry Nuesell and new assistant Michelle Simonson will take advantage of the leadership and experience of third-year runner Allison Gilmore, the only returner this fall. Gilmore also plays softball for Peace.
In the USA South preseason coaches poll released last week, Peace was picked to finish this season in sixth place among the ten conference teams.
