Cross Country team takes step forward
Cary, N.C. – Conditions were much better this week at the Great American Cross Country Festival than they were seven days ago in Greensboro. The end result was that all three Peace runners saw significant improvements in their times compared to last week.
Tirzah Hansen led the Pacers with a time of 26:21.3 compared to 28:02 in Greensboro and she finished 47th overall. Right behind her was Charity Young at 28:06.7, which was nearly two minutes better than her time last week. Christina Hawes showed the most improvement on the team, as her 33:11.7 time was 2:06 better than a week ago.
Next up for the team is the North Carolina Collegiate Championships on October 15th.
